| The Text-to-Speech (TTS) feature for your iDEN i355 phone uses voice playback to guide you through phone menus and through placing and receiving calls. This was designed for customers who are visually impaired.
With the TTS feature, you can hear the following as you use your phone:
* The number keys you have pressed
* The names, numbers, and contact types of each contract
entry as you scroll through Contacts
* The status information such as signal strength, battery level
date and time, and service status
* Main menu options as you scroll through the main menu
* A prompt indicating that your phone is placing a call

Important notes:
* The Text-to-Speech feature is available in English only; all spoken text is in English. Your current i355 handset may have additional languages available in the handset. However, after you load the Software Upgrade into your phone, you will not see the additional languages. All text and spoken text will be English only.
* You must have a live internet connection at the time the handset is upgraded
* Once the handset is upgraded with the i355 TTS Upgrade Utility, you will not be able to revert back to the previous software version.
* It is not necessary to use this Upgrade Utility if you already have the previous version of TTS software in your handset.
